Standard Work Instructions are essential for any manufacturing or service business. In fact they are integral to any ISO or QS standard. They act as step by step guidelines as to what people are supposed to be doing and what they are being held accountable for. Often time changes are made to one without the other knowing.
This module not only keeps a current inventory of your job descriptions is also tracks if there are any changes made to any particular job in the database. This flag will notify those in Human resources about potential changes to physical demands and the safety department about any new potential hazards.
It is a way to keep your job description database current and it will allow it to be utilized actively to resolve potential safety concerns.
In a manufacturing environment this module will assist engineers in tracking and recording their process into operating procedures and in turn their descriptions. An assembly process can be broken into its smallest elements. There is also a section to record time (MTM) data.
Once completed operator descriptions will be developed to ensure consistency and quality in your process and ultimately your product. Those operating procedures will have a standardized from and content. An elemental breakdown of the job is the first step towards a proactive health, safety and disability management program.
